A little introduction. I stumbled across campcaster a month ago, and
thought it looked like a great project. I would really like to get involved
in Campcaster development and also work in the real world - supporting
people at stations etc.
I have a history working with NGO support organisations, media development
NGOs a bit of radio presenting experience, and other associated things
(here's my CV in case you want some more details http://www.thirdsectordesign.org/cv/).
I thought that the best way to get started would be to set up a station here
in London where I am based at the moment. So far I have an old computer,
some "studio space"(!) and three sound cards. Is there anyone is this part
of the world that would like to meet with me / work with me./ know anyone
else that might? That would be great.
Thanks for reading this, and maybe see you soon.
Michael
Hi Michael, Thanks for your interest in Campcaster. Hopefully the installation and setup will go easily for you, and then you can really start to dig around. There is one user in the UK that we know of - the Sunlight Trust in Kent, and their Radio Sunlight project - and they might be up for a meetup. Otherwise, CAMP has its office in Prague, Czech Republic, so feel free to ring us up if you find yourself in town. We're also on #campcaster on irc.freenode.net should you wish to talk with someone online.
