There are several ways you can install Campcaster.
Method 1.
The simplest way to install Campcaster is by using our repository; see
the "Adding Campcaster repository..." and "Installing Campcaster Debian
packages..." sections in this wiki: http://code.campware.org/projects/campcaster/wiki/CheatSheet
The wiki is written for Ubuntu; Xandros may be slightly different.
If you run into any problems, please ask; if you manage to get it to
work, please let us know which method you used, and if you had to do any
tweaks. Thanks,
Ferenc

Also, wanted to mention that I was able to download two tar files last night and they seemed to be accepted fine by Xandros. Now that I have them on my computer not sure how to manipulate them in the correct manner to get the program running. Also not completey sure I don't need to download anything more or not.
But tonight I will study the advice you've given me in your posts and see if I can follow it and get it working. I'm brand new to linux at this point so not very comfortable with the terms and code instructions etc.
Thanks again for your help...Excited to work with the program!
Just in case everything goes ok (which should), can you please make a howto in Xandros Forums on how you installed CC? (Including which files u need to DL to be able to compile CC source code).
Thank you again for advice and guidance. As I am brand new at Linux I realize I have to learn the basics to be able to enter the right commands to get campcaster started. I'm currently at a decision point: Should I go back and try to get Ubuntu working properly (Which release do you recommend) as Campcaster is set up for Ubuntu, or should I stay with Xandros, which is working fine, and then try to configure Campaster to Xandros. Opinions Please on which should be easiest path?
Any thoughts on most effective way to learn enough linux to be able to configure campcaster?
Well, I now have Campcaster installed and working on my computer!! I ended up using Ubuntu 6.06 and followed the instructions you all gave me. I had some broken files in my Ubuntu software, that when fixed everything worked fine. Still figuring how to upload and manage songs etc.
