I created package which can be installed on Ubuntu Breezy and Debian Sarge
without any precautions.
On my new and minimal Ubuntu and Sarge systems they went fine. Now I like to
please you for testing, before we release it on Sourceforge.
I like to see what's happen on otherwise configured systems, so please
capture the output of apt-get install ..., especially the list of packages
going to be installed at beginning, and eventually error-messages (to
copy&paste, you can stop the process with ctrl-z and continue by typing fg).
Just installed your Ubuntu-packages on Breezy.
This is a 2nd attempt to install the software; first one got the packages from campware.org and couldn't start the application because of errors like "Authentication server failed" (check my recent post in LS-support)
The output of the synaptic pack_man installation says:

authentication problem: Login method returned fault response:
[faultCode:805,faultString:ERROR:xrLocStor: 2 Header may not contain more than a single header, new line detected. (/opt/livesupport/lib/pear/XML/RPC/Server.php:394)]
I didn't start livesupport-studio yet but it seems, from the last log error messages, I'll face the same starting problem:-(
Is there a simple way of fixing those authentications issues - xrLocStor ? -; what's wrong with the file?
I am in no way sw developer, just a mere linux learner with a bit of understanding on editing config. files and get this going (damn slow learning curve.!...)
Hope you can help me get the application working; from my side I can help with my experience as end-user.
It's extrange in my previus post are blank but what I wrote in my message was:
Edit: (sudo gedit or vi) /opt/livesupport/etc/gLiveSupport.xml and change where it says /dev/dsp1 and /dev/desp2 to say: /dev/dsp (both) and another XML config file I can't recall right now. do the same and it works
Well, it's getting good!!!
I can see the top panel with clock and player buttons.
I need to login, but... (need to check documentation)
Bee bac for more.
Thanks for the help
