I can't figure out from the data you sent me what is wrong. The install script does work on Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, Mandrake, SuSE and FreeBSD.
I suppose the install script uses a bash feature that CentOS does not support. If you could give me access to your system I could debug and find out what it is but I can't promise I'll be able to fix it. For now we only support the distributions listed above, if Campsite works on any other Linux distro that's pure luck. We would be happy if you or someone else volunteers to maintain compatibility with other distros but we can't do that with our resources.

Note please, that I never used installscript on FreeBSD and I do not
recommend it. On freeBSD it is best to use the port.
