[livesupport-dev] graphics questions
  • hello to praha, NYC, berlin, budapest, belgrade,

i am trying to understand where we stand with the design issue. there were
some questions coming up in the last two weeks. then it went silent, the
last posting being akos: "i think we can work with this".

we should try to finish this design package soon(ish)

    my question:

    a) who has a question concerning the graphics design and its implementation?

    b) what can i do to help?

what is not clear to me is that who will do the window layouts. this is
a mixed issue with visuality, usability and funcionality. I myself don't
feel totally qualified for this task...

Hm...now this is the situation that is not
    clear to me either.

Because, it seemed to me that I was the one who
    was supposed to
comment and work on the issues

of usabillity and functionality of the
layouts (as the man from the parallel universe called "radio world" Smile)
    ,

and that   slowness in implementation of my proposals about the main
screen functions is only the consequence of  Parsons design team lack
    of time.

However, now I am getting the imprression that
    that I was
initiating them "on my own hand", and that was the last thing I wanted
    to do.

My questions, comments and proposals - and it
    seems that no one
read or understood them- were concerning not on the design  itself
(because i think that it is excellent).

     It was concerning on  the
ergonomy of the  function commands that are necessary for radio program
    creating,

and its acceptability for the users that prepare and mix in
    the radio program......

I just wanted to ask if anyone counts on my
comments or not....because I don't want to be misundestood for several
    months.

    Greetings,

    Robert

  • Dear Robert,

We all count on your comments. I suggest that you and the Parsons team work
closely on the look and feel of all windows (i.e. what goes where, etc.).
Sangita, Charles, does that sound like a good plan to you?

  • I think we have had some miscommunication, which is not so surprising given
the number of native tongues and time zones we have been operating with/in.

What matters now, however, is that we can move on according to the plan I
suggested. If anybody has any questions, please write to the list. If
somebody is not replying for more than a day, resend the message. OK? Let's
    pester each other Smile

    Of course Charles,

I have understood you very well that you are all revising the project

and that we are going to see the result as soon as you can do it.

Probably I have made a wrong impression by reading the discussion between
    Micz and Akos. Smile

However, I am sure that we have a perfect result smiling in front of us,

and I hope that my wishes (it's too strong to say remarks) won't disturb

the global windows appearance that much,

and that this is really only the matter of fine tuning.

So let's move on with the good vibes and excellent work.

All the best and sorry for the unnecessary confusion.

    Robert
