STL not properly installed error when installing

    I have been attempting to install campsite on a machine running Fedora Core 3. However, when I try to install it I get an error: STL not properly installed. I think that STL references the standard template library (which seems even more likely considering that campsite seems to be written in C++), but I can't imagine that I don't have the STL. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    This is because of new C++ compiler in Fedora3. It is possible to add
    this compiler to check4functions file, but last we installed campsite on
    Fedora3, we found other problems than the one you listed.
    Developers solved these, but any officially released campsite do not
    contain fixes.
    Also campsite is still not properly tested on Fedeora3.

    My private advice is to use campsite on some well tested OS (Mandrake,
    Fedora2, FreeBSD 5.3... etc.)
    Or I can send you these fixes, but developers fixed just one instance
    and I cannot say it will work for you too.

    Note, that it needs to be used with campsite 2.1.6-rc1

    Oddly enough I'm getting exactly the same error on FreeBSD 5.3, any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Please copy the attached file (check4_functions) into .install_conf
    subdirectory in campsite sources directory and try again.
