I am a newbie with very little background in networking/Linux.
I have set up Airtime and it appears to be working fine but I am having trouble trying to stream from MIXXX on one Ubuntu pc to Airtime on another Ubuntu pc (same network).
I have included some screen shots of what I have set up below.
notes- I have used the user name source and the source pass that I set up when configuring Icecast - please tell me if this is incorrect. My Airtime output stream also uses source username and the source pass that I set up when configuring Icecast - please tell me if this is incorrect.
I changed the IP from 127.0.0.1 in the Icecast conf file to the Airtime computers IP. I did not change anything else in the conf file except passwords on set up.
When I type the airtime computers IP:8000 in a browser on the MIXXX computer I get the Icecast2 status page. When I type the airtime computers IP in a browser on the Airtime computer I get https://kitradio1/Showbuilder
Any help setting this up would be greatly appreciated - I can supply any additional information needed.
On another note I would also like some information on running MIXXX on the same pc as Airtime - If I was to purchase a USB sound card compatible with my system (Ubuntu 14.04 on Mac Mini hardware) would I be able to run both programs on the one pc ? - Is there any other way to do this without purchase of a card ? (MIXX sound settings give the option of ALSA or OSS)
Sorry if these are basic or stupid questions and have been answered elsewhere and thank you for your time in advance. I have spent a lot of time setting this up and it has been a steep learning curve for me. I feel I am in a bit over my head and need to have this set up for a project next week - that said I am confident in operating the program itself which seems very intuitive - I just need help with the back end.
Thank you for this great software and all the best
