The only caveat you have to know is how to install via teminal.
Its like 5 minutes this way(depending on certain conditions)
404 represents no link to the url. but if i am sure i saw a trusty distribution in the airtime repositres.
Good Luck

sudo pico /etc/apt/sources.list
The tutorial will say sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list .they are the same command
pico comes as default editor, nano you might have to install
Now follow the rest of the procedure here http://sourcefabric.booktype.pro/airtime-25-for-broadcasters/automated-installation/
Now key things to note is change the source list to your version of ubuntu like here
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ lucid main
Change the lucid
For Ubuntu 12.04 Precise, and For Ubuntu 14.04 use Trusty
there is no 12.10 Quantal, 13.04 Raring or 13.10 Saucy so do not use them .
If you follow the rest of the procedure you will see the time I recommend is about
that amount.
Like I said if you uninstall it should reinstall and you will see
Let me know your challenges.
Wish you the Best.

Ps. I do not know the intent of others, but I guess most are busy for holidays coming
up so I hope I can make do to take you over the threshold to familiarity
sudo pico /etc/apt/sources.listdeb cdrom:[Ubuntu 14.10 _Utopic Unicorn_ - Release amd64 (20141022.1)]/ utopic$
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ lucid main
Change the lucid
For Ubuntu 12.04 Precise, and For Ubuntu 14.04 use Trusty
there is no 12.10 Quantal, 13.04 Raring or 13.10 Saucy so do not use them .
So I change this line
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ lucid main
to
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/Ubuntu 12.04 Precise
??
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ lucid main
Change the lucid
For Ubuntu 12.04 Precise, and For Ubuntu 14.04 use Trusty
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ Trusty main correct?
my version .14.10 and returns Utopic
deb http://apt.sourcefabric.org/ Utopic main or should it be this?
sudo apt-get update
returned a whole load of inf the last few lines

gnfb@Vostro-400:~$

sudo apt-get install sourcefabric-keyring
then
sudo apt-get update
You should not see the error again
Then install Airtime
sudo apt-get install airtime
While the script is running it will configure your database and icecast so
Ignore the database setup and Icecast setup as mention in the Manual
