Soundcloud plugin wont connect to account - Newscoop Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

Hi
Whenever I check connection in the Soundcloud Preferences I get the following error back:
SoundCloud reports an error: connection error
I've tried creating a new application but same issue.
Please help someone, I'm completely stuck.

Hi Marley,

I just tested it by creating account on soundcloud (because I didnt have one). I have created new app and filled in info into Newscoop Soundcloud plugin -> Preferences. It works fine. Most likely you are getting this error because plugin cant retrieve access token from soundcloud which is generated using your soundcloud app details.

Make sure you are entering correct details.

Hi Rafal, thanks for your reply.

I think it might be an issue with the Soundcloud plugin asking for "Redirect URI for Authentication"

What should I enter here?

The address of my Newscoop installation is http://broadcaster.brighton.ac.uk

This is how my Soundcloud app config looks like (see attachment) and i just filled all data in Newscoop Soundlcoud plugin and it works like a charm.

Yep and it used to work like a charm for me too, so something must've gone wrong with Newscoop.

Do you know if it's possible to download just the Soundcloud plugin? Where are the files?
