Does anybody know if the cache that stores copies of mp3 files prior to playout can :
1) Be disabled and if so how is this done?
and
2) Be disabled and Airtime will still function properly? Does Liquidsoap require these cached files for playout?
I ask because I've manually deleted the cached files before a show was due to start and Airtime played dead air for that show (even though "now playing" was indicating that the correct file was playing).
This action does not surprise me at all. It will try and play the cached version of the file referenced by the CC_SCHEDULE table (you can forget the other tables for this). If the file is not there: silence.
