I have tried to installed campsite on the domain www.mysite.com/fra
where mysite is replaced by the true domain.
I was unable to start the install because it always points to www.mysite.com
I do not have access to php.ini and can not update the apache config
file. I can't create a virtual host.
My webhost won't allow me to do these modif.
Question: How can I install campsite on such a domain ?
I might be wrong, but it should be enough to set properly the
publication, the rest should not matter. But I never used this way of
install as I never needed.
The second way is to tell your hosting supoport to modify the apache
for you and the third way is to forget your limited hosting and move
to someone who will give you all access you need.

You have to install Campsite in the document root directory, otherwise it
won't work if you install it in a subdirectory. E.g. suppose the document
root was /var/www then you have to copy the campsite files in /var/www, not
/var/www/campsite.
