Polls and Discussion not working

    Hello
    I can't seem to be able to attach a poll to an article let alone make it appear on the front page. I can create polls and discussions no problem so I'm assuming the plugin is working ok however I cannot attach them to anything.
    Can anyone explain in simple terms how to get polls working? Cant find anything at all on this forum. I'm using New Custodian.
