Unless there is something existing that I am unaware of, I am wondering if there is any interest in debian packages being available for the development branch... I am willing to help with this if there is interest, and it would sure make it easy to track devel updates.

This isn't something we have at the moment, but we do have scripts that generate our Debian package. This is definitely something we need to generate nightly. Will get back to you on this.
Thanks for the offer! We should be deploying an RC this week, so between then and the final release, we won't need nightly packages. However when work for 2.2 begins, I will make sure we have this.
RC this week, yay! Once work on 2.2 begins, I will write a script to pull it to our in-house repo mirror and do nightly updates on the sandbox. This should let me help with getting timely bug reports to you guys. I would really like to help get things to a point that we can switch to airtime.

If you check out the Airtime devel branch, you will now see a script 'gen-snapshot.sh' and a 'debian' directory that can be used to generate a nightly package with a date stamp suffix on the version number. I've put the first couple of Airtime 2.2.0 snapshot packages here:
Please note that these packages are not for production use, and that they do not (yet) support upgrades from Airtime 2.1.x and earlier. They should work fine if you perform a clean install of the current snapshot and upgrade from there. Also the version number you'll see when mousing over the green check mark in the top right corner of the admin interface will still be 2.1.3, but that's bogus.
You'll see some goodies like smart playlists, but of course some features will be unfinished and others will be broken.
Cheers!
Daniel
