airtime easy install hangs on monit

    Hello peeps,

    After realising that airtime wasn't supported on 12.04 yet I rebuilt my Ubuntu server as 10.04 and went for the easy install.

    It seems to go well until this:

    Setting up monit configuration...
    Stopping daemon monitor: monit.
    Starting daemon monitor: monit.
    sed: -e expression #1, char 32: unknown option to `s'

    then it hangs and I have to reboot.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Anthony,

    Airtime 2.1 scheduled to be released next week supports 12.04.

    We've never seen this error, what version of sed do you have?

    sed --version

    I'll stick it out till the next release then - thanks for the heads up.

    Hi Anthony,

    Could you post the link where you downloaded the easy install package please? The direct link for the current package is:

    http://apt.sourcefabric.org/misc/airtime-easy-setup_2.0.0-2_all.deb

    It sounds like the package you downloaded was either a development version, or perhaps corrupted. There is no need to wait for Airtime 2.1 if you want to try 2.0.3 on your 10.04 Lucid server in the meantime.
