Skips like a broken record after a while, Ubuntu 11.04

    I moved to Ubuntu 11.04 in order to get a newer laptop (Asus 1215P, 2GB RAM) to run Ubuntu.  Some of the hardware is newer than 10.04 recognizes.
    After running Airtime 1.9.5 for a couple hours the music starts to repeat like a broken record, then it rushes ahead and repeats again for a number of seconds.  Rebooting the laptop fixes the problem.  I've never seen this problem under Ubuntu 10.04.
    What is going on?  What is the fix?  I can't use this on a live station till this is sorted out.
