Thanks for the feedback - we'll be redesigning sourcefabric.org in the very near future to make it more community-oriented and we'll consider adding more prominent links to this kind of thing.
We have a lot of different people using the site for a lot of different reasons - having donate buttons everywhere is not a good look for many of them, so achieving a balance is important.
Stay tuned for more announcements on the redesign. i'll start a thread soon asking for feedback on what you'd all like to see...
And just fyi, the process for me building votable features on Fundry would be...
a) Finding two or three popular feature ideas b) Getting a quote from the dev team on what it costs to build it c) Enlisting all of your help to promote it!
Fundry is specifically for software projects and therefore much better suited than Kickstarter (which I'm also a fan of). We added Airtime some time ago: http://fundry.com/project/147-airtime
The Airtime team is very busy this week working on 2.0, so once the dust has settled we'll draw up a small shortlist of features that are doable and we can see where that takes us. Our resources are of course limited, so we have to be careful and not promise something we can't deliver. Costing out a new feature also takes time too, and at the moment the priority is getting a bug-free Airtime 2.0 released.
Thanks for the support and ideas, great to see some enthusiasm behind this.
