What's new? Actually, a huge amount considering Airtime 1.8.2 only arrived last week. There's a new file storage system for starters, supported output to Shoutcast, improved reboot/reinstall procedures plus a heap of graphic improvements and bug fixes. Here's the full changelog. Install instructions can be found here.
As always, this is a Beta release. With testing, Betas become RCs which then become full releases - so this is not for production environments yet. All feedback welcome, let us know how you get on!
....and here's Airtime 1.9 Beta2. Plenty of stabilization since the last beta, thanks to those hardy souls who downloaded, installed and reported issues. It's much appreciated by the team.
All bug reports, comments and suggestions welcomed!
Airtime 1.9 Beta 3 was completed last night and is ready for you to download, test and feedback on. As always, a huge thanks to those who downloaded the last beta and helped us solve issues.
The release is moving along nicely - once the beta is more stable, we release it as an RC (release candidate) and then, after further evaluation, we'll announce the release date. Our primary aim with all of this is to get a rock solid release so you can all upgrade your stations with total confidence.
Install instructions can be found over on the wiki. Remember this is a beta, so not yet ready for install on production servers.
Help us zap those bugs and report any issues you find into our bug-tracker. Visit dev.sourcefabric.org, hit Create Issue in the top right, select Airtime, Bug and then describe what's gone wrong. The more bugs we find, the quicker the release becomes stable, the faster your stations get to benefit from those new features.
