Subscriptions for The Journal please!

    Hi,

I badly need the subscription function for the The Journal template. If I could, I would do that myself, but I can't make head or tails of the two templates. They are way too different for a total layman to grasp what needs to go where.

Without this I can't currently publish the March issue and am literally sitting on coals here! Shocked

Is that such a major operation that none of the old hands here could go over the The Journal templates and incorporate that? It's not as if I am bound to be the only one who'll want it. Subscription and newspaper go hand in hand, and you bundle Newscoop with The Journal on default.

    Hi,

a tiny wave here ... how is it going with the "subscriptification"?

  • Hi Andel,

We're working pretty hard to get these templates finished, but in the meantime I'd like to note that if you _really_ need something done on a deadline, you might want to consider hiring Sourcefabric or someone from the community to do this kind of work for you. The rates are reasonable and it's the best way to ensure that you get what you want and when you need it. Plus, because the money goes back into Newscoop development, you help to make sure that the software remains world-class and open-source.

There's more on Sourcefabric's paid services here: http://www.sourcefabric.org/en/services/

    Hope this helps,
