Problems in installing Airtime in Ubuntu 14.04
  • I have done this scores of time for the last five years. The procedure I have always used consists in first installing airtime-easy-setup through software center, then run the following two commands:
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install airtime
After which, all I had to do was to delete the airtime database and then restore my most recent backup, and my station was running fine.
Today, when reproducing the same procedure on my laptop, I have no difficulty in installing aitrime-easy-setup. But, when I enter "sudo apt-get update", I get the following error message:
    "Get:2 http://apt.sourcefabric.org trusty InRelease [394 B]
    100% [1 Packages bzip2 0 B] [2 InRelease gpgv 394 B] [Waiting for headers]Splitting up /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/apt.sourcefabric.org_dists_trusty_InRelease inIgn http://apt.sourcefabric.org trusty InRelease
E: GPG error: http://apt.sourcefabric.org trusty InRelease: Clearsigned file isn't valid, got 'NODATA' (does the network require authentication?)"
    And I can't install Airtime. What's wrong?

  • Could you elaborate? What shoul I do?
  • I'm also trying to install Airtime. The community radio station I'm involved with has had a new computer donated so want to install Airtime 2.5.1 on Ubuntu 12.04.

I get the same error. When you open https://apt.sourcefabric.org/ in a web browser you get the following message:

Sorry, site is offline for maintenance. Thank you for patience.
You can send any question to support@sourcefabric.org

This site has been offline for maintenance for a while. Anybody know when it might work again?

Or is there another way to install?

    Thanks

  • Can anyone tell us whether the repo is working now or is it still the same situation?
