Where in the scripts does Liquidsoap log the song?
Why not figure out the root cause and submit a patch? :)

Makes way more sense to use a decent low-spec laptop from a reputable mfgr/brand. Then you have a built-in UPS, among other niceties. That $35 soon swells to $200+ by the time you finish adding all the necessary accessories to make it a little more …

I mean they're neat and all but $50 buys a decent cloud server for over half a year... with 100mbps+ connectivity included :-B

Confirmed on Icecast 2.3.3-kh7, too. It's not just Shoutcast.

Hi, By the way, your CPU is not a race car... (Online dedicated server??) http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=VIA+Nano+U2250+(1.6GHz+Capable) Liquid soap, which is the engine for sound processing behind Airtime, always proceeds the same way: …

Any ideas? Odd things when stress testing Airtime/Icecast
Not all gigE switches are created equal. Some can't even handle hundreds let alone thousands of concurrents. Give it a try on a cloud server with true 1 or 10gbps connectivity. And for dogs sake, use Wheezy. Icecast 2.4 was backported. Good luc…

Guessing you followed that guide I posted in another thread? Which version of Icecast are you attempting to use? What's up with your RAM and CPU usage? Why not use Debian btw? :)

Steer clear of live365! Radionomy is particularly terrible, too. Honestly, even a modest icecast server with solid gigabit connectivity easily supports over 10k simultaneously. http://icecast.org/loadtest/1/
