Simple way to Show Currently Playing title from Icecast - Airtime Support Discussions on Sourcefabric Forum

Hello,

I looked to show the currently playing title on my website. After some search, I managed it with a library and very few lines of code. This post is to help other to do the same.

I used a library : http://code.google.com/p/icecast-now-playing-script/

Get it with subversion on your site: svn checkout http://icecast-now-playing-script.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ icecast-now-playing-script-read-only

After, I created a simple php file that output the now playing Artist - Title: icecast-current-track.php

include('icecast.php');

$stream = getStreamInfo();

$now = $stream['info']['artist_song'];

echo $now;

?>

and in webpage: now.php

setInterval(function(){

$("#current-track").load("icecast-now-playing/icecast-current-track.php");

Hi! Can you attach your icecast-now-playing script files in a zip? I tried to make it work but I always get blank page on icecast.php and in the example , I get

Array
(
    [info] => Array
        (
            [status] => OFF AIR
        )

)

although, I'm sure the settings are correct. 
If you can provide your files I'd appreciate it!

Ok, I managed to remove the offline error...but I'm getting blank pages....

As you'll see also, there's a little problem with history because of the liquidsoap bug that plays sometimes twice the files.

A blank page usually means syntax error in the php code. Check it properly, use an IDE if needed.

not sure how you got your code to work, but it gave back massive amounts of errors in php. wouldnt recommend any of these instructions to anyone, wont work.

Younes your script do also others things (print covers, save playlist, that's not the demand of Nicolas ;-)

place this as nowplaying.xsl into the same folder as the icecast stats.xsl and make it world readable. (check the mount points)
