You might want to look into Internet DJ Console for this as well. Atm the focus in youre wiki for 2.0 is on mixx.
While mixx is great for mixing songs live and music dj's, IDJC does the job for the general shows better.
It has a built-in configurable crossfade and all the options you generally need. Some of the more advanced features are included as well
Pro's
intregrated multiple mic support
jingle support
streaming included
ability to record a live show
Aux input
jack support
Skype support for call-in's
Con's
Not multi platform ( linux only )
Dunno if the goal is to create a flexible dj station with airtime or carousel only.
If its the final goal to be able to handle everything from the web interface this program is a good example of how it should look.
for all i know Mixxx works for win / mac / linux http://www.mixxx.org/download.php
if that's the only "con" then we are in the clear ;)

IDJC is a great tool and we want to work with it. The Airtime playout
system is Linux-only as well so it's not such a big deal that IDJC is
Linux-only.
