Can't change file Metadata
  • When I try to submit changed meta-data for a file in the library, I get "Value is required and can't be empty" below Title and Artist. It doesn't seem to matter which one I choose although I haven't tried them all.

Also some MP4s that I converted to MP3 with FFMPEG do not show any information during playback. Those files have something in the Title field but nothing in the Artist field. I can't change that due to the issue above but nevertheless, the metadata sent during playout is "unknown". I guess both Title and Artist have to be filled out for it to work?

We just discovered that bug ourselves this morning, thanks for pointing that
    out.

Yes, was the metadata lost when you did the conversion?

  • Yes the metadata was lost in conversion.

  • Hi Verheek,

I'm a little confused about your post. Was the problem with your MP4->MP3 encoder or is this a bug with Airtime?

In that case, it's a problem with the conversion you have rather than with
Airtime. Airtime just looks at the metadata in the file in order know what
    to display.

  • Well it was both because the metadata wasn't converted but then I couldn't manually enter either. In anycase both are solved now.

    Thanks!
