Login issue
  • Hi,

    i did 2 succesfull installs from airtime. The one on the test environment works fine. In my production environment i can see errors:
    in /etc/service/pypo-liquidsoap/log/main/current:
    @400000004d6388cb00a9c2fc 2011/02/22 10:58:25 [airtime(dot)mp3:3] Connecting mount airtime.mp3 for source@127.0.0.1...
    @400000004d6388cb021b7f54 2011/02/22 10:58:25 [airtime(dot)mp3:2] Connection failed: 401, Authentication Required (HTTP/1.0)!
    @400000004d6388cb021cb004 2011/02/22 10:58:25 [airtime(dot)mp3:3] Connection failed, will try again in 5 sec.

    and in /var/log/icecast2/error.log:
    [2011-02-22 11:02:43] INFO connection/_handle_source_request Source logging in at mountpoint "/airtime.mp3"
    [2011-02-22 11:02:43] INFO connection/_handle_source_request Source (/airtime.mp3) attempted to login with invalid or missing password

    also, i cannot see the mountpint on the icecast status page. I did change the default passwords in the icecast.xml
    Is there a place in a config file somewhere i should change?
    I hope you can help me. I love the airtime product and intend on using it a lot.

    Thanks ever so much for your time and effort in advance.

    Kind regards,
    Ed Boon

    Hi Ed -
    You can change the login and password for icecast in the file
    /airtime/pypo/scripts/ls_config.liq

    You should probably change it in your download folder and then re-install,
    because if you ever need to reinstall in the future, the change will still
    be there.

    We would love to hear from you how you are using Airtime!

  • It did the trick:
    @400000004d63a7c01171242c 2011/02/22 13:10:30 [airtime(dot)mp3:3] Connecting mount airtime.mp3 for source@127.0.0.1...
    @400000004d63a7c018b2edec 2011/02/22 13:10:30 [airtime(dot)mp3:3] Connection setup was successful.

    thanks.

    I first learned about airtime 8 days ago. Now i have a working test and production environment. Onwards to setting up at least 2 talk based (net-)radio stations.
    If our other endeavours are as smooth as the first encounters, you'll be hearing more soon.
