Templates?
  • Hi,

I am still fooling around with attempts at installing Campsite.

Right now I am looking for a means to install templates. I looked in the forum and found the advice to do it via a backup function. I can't find either function of a backup folder in the admin interface.

I am currently talking about a version

3.3.6 which is an upgrade of 3.3.1

The upgrade was done by dropping the new files over the old and doing an upgrade. The database was apparently upgraded and it does say 3.3.6 below on the admin interface.

Also, I would like to install the templates "classic", where do I find those?

  • Hi again,

my bad - 3.3.6 doesn't have the function apparently...

So how do I install template packages without it in that version of Campsite?

Also again - which one is the Classic template?

    hi Andel,

backup/restore is possible via command line utilities: bin/campsite-backup, bin/campsite-restore

The sampple templates for 3.3.x you can find here http://sourceforge.net/projects/campsite/files/campsite/3.3. 6/
  • Hi Andrey,

I tried that already, it does not work. So how else do I install templates?

I knew those files, what I wanted to know is which one is the classic template? Sorry for not formulating this clearly!
  • Hi all,

okay - I am still short of two answers...

    1. which of the templates in the template pack coming with 3.3.6 is the classic version? A screenshot of that somewhere?

    2. to use it with 3.3.6 I do what on a normal shared host? No commandline access, only FTP and PHPMyAdmin.

    hi Andel,

    1. For older versions the Castodian template set is accessible only during initial installation. You can install and make backup to restore on the another instances. For 3.5.x version you can find here http://newscoop.sourcefabric.org/download

    2. GUI backup/restore had been introduced in 3.4 version
  • Andrey,

I can NOT install anything directly which is younger than 3.3.1. Period.

So you say that all these templates are unusable?

Neither 3.4 nor 3.5 are installable on my VPS, they crash it. Fast. So that suggestion does not help, sorry.

    Andel -
Is it possible for you to give Andrey access to your host? He can then
login and figure out what the problem is. What hosting service are you
using? We want to fix any problems with 3.5, so we would like to figure out
    what is going wrong here.
