We have officially released Campsite 2.5.1 "Eli" earlier today (10 April
2006).
The 2.5.1 is a maintenance release and includes numerous minor bug fixes
and updated localizations for nine languages, plus a brand new
localization in French.
So who should upgrade? If you haven't experienced any problems
(doublecheck with the list below nonetheless , you can probably wait
until the next major release. You may, however, want to take a look at the
manual, which has been updated describe all the new features in Campsite
2.5.x
What's new:
* Brand new French localization
* Fully updated localizations in Arabic, Croatian, German, Portuguese,
Romanian, Russian, Serbian (Cyrillic), Serbo-Croatian (Latin), and Swedish
* The Xinha editor now can handle more than 9 images in an article
field
* Subheads now work correctly in Xinha
* User creation date now shows up correctly
* Topics: Root topic language now defaults to the user interface
language
* Parts of the Home page are now formatted correctly when there are no
articles
* A minor Localizer-related installation bug was eliminated
* PHP notice in "Add new user type" is no longer there (most users
never saw it anyway)
* Several previously uncaught strings (65 and Over, Users, Help) are
now localizable (thanks to our localizers for pointing out those!)
* Main menu items are now all correctly escaped for javascript (the
bug had caused the main menu not to show up in French)
* Updated Manual with documentation for 2.5 features
* The article indexer now works correctly with a blank database
* Maintenance scripts from older Campsite versions are now deleted
automatically when upgrading.
