Re: [campcaster-dev] darkice 0.18 released - with archiving functionality
  • Hi Akos,

I was just going to ask you what's the deal with this Smile (I recall Paul
sending an e-mail about it). We'll try to install it for the purposes of
our Radio Package implementation. But tell me one thing, have you
integrated darklog into darkice? Or is this something completely new that
    you wrote?

Actually the functionality was there in the subversion repository for
some time, and I was waiting for feedback before making a release. As I
didn't get any, I adopoted the approach of 'release early / release often'.

I wrote something different, which is more open to integration with
other tools. Darklog's approach results in a set of time-cut archive
files. My approach is more flexible - you can cut the archive at any
time you want. I imagined that typically, you'd want to cut at the end
of each program, which information you'd know from your own scheduling tool.
