Thanks for the question about XSPF. I've personally been a fan of XSPF for
some time, but unfortunately Campcaster doesn't currently support
playlists in that format. Campcaster uses SMIL as its playlist format, so
conceivably you could either do an XSLT transform between XSLT and SMIL,
or possibly you could alter the Campcaster source code to support XSPF in
addition to SMIL. Theoretically it shouldn't be _too_ hard to do, but I'd
like to hear what the other devs have to say.
Hope this helps,
douglas

Hi Douglas,
Thank you for the quick response. Usually I'd be all for the XSLT but XSPF
seems to be an appropriate internal feature of Campcaster. Is there a
plug-in architecture? What would be the best strategy? Here is an existing
XSPF to SMIL XSLT http://gonze.com/xspf/xspf2smil.xsl
We now have two more computer science students volunteering to get our
student radio off the ground. I think between the three of us we could do
some work on Campcaster to get the XSPF support, but it doesn't seem like
anyone else is terribly interested in the idea.
How are other users using embeded players with playlist of upcoming songs?
