[campcaster-support] synaptic installation problem

    hi,

    i encountered problems when installing on ubuntu 8.04. i followed this
    howto using synaptic which is documented here:
    http://code.campware.org/manuals/campcaster/1.4/index.php?id=128
    and got the attached alert from synaptic when trying to mark the
    packages for installation.

    the campcaster libraries install fine. i did that and thought possibly
    the second time round it would not mourn over dependencies. but it did
    still.

    Hi Micz,

    You are trying to install Dapper packages on Hardy. I have added a
    comment about this on the manual page; but instead of a note at the
    bottom, it would be better if you could mention it in the text that
    you need to replace "dapper" with the name of the release you have.
    This is by far the most common question we get about Campcaster on the
    support list.
