Random Playlists

    Hey there!

    I represent a small community radio station in Massachusetts, USA that is thying out different automation programs.

    After reviewing CampCaster I have one big question: is there a way to 'randomize' the play lists? Meaning, can CampCaster pick items to insert into a playlist that are from a group (say, grouped by artist or genre) and then play them out? This would apply to both music and non-music files (PSAs, promos, station IDs).

    Basically, we want to automate during those times where no one is in the station, but do not want to have to make play lists for each hour. Also, some items (like the non-music items) expire after a time, and it seems a little difficult to re-program those instead of an engine that will pick them randomly.

    We all ask for this feature actually... but this is apparently not planned for future releases. Sad
