We are currently in the process of replacing our bug-ridden in-house
playout system on Linux and currently looking at campcaster as an
option.
So far, we can get the system to play tracks and playlists out. We can
also schedule them from the playout application (campcaster_studio).
However when we attempt to do this from the web service, we get the
message back "cannot connect to scheduler".
I should state that the scheduler and playout system are running from
one machine. The website and storage are handled from our server, a
separate box. The web server simply has a copy of the php files on it.
The website also does not show the current track info (and defaults to
"off air"). Though, we can manage tracks and playlists from the web
interface.
Is there an obvious setting being overlooked here not allowing us to
run scheduler/playout on one box and the web service on another?
Thank you,
Marc Steele
