[campcaster-support] Installing with Ubuntu 8.10

    Hi there,

    I've reviewed the list archives but couldn't find the answer to my
    question: Is Campcaster 1.3 compatible with Ubuntu 8.10? I've tried
    several approaches to installation and, when using the terminal, get an
    error message about packages having unmet dependencies. Can anyone help
    advise me?

    Hello !

    It works for me , with this repositery

    deb http://code.campware.org/ubuntu hardy main

    Thanks for your reply. I tried adding this repository through Synaptic.
    Campcaster-libs can be marked for installation but when I try to mark
    campcaster-station I get the following error message -
    Depends: libxml++2.6c2a (>=2.8.1) but it is not installable
    Likewise, with campcaster-studio I get this message:
    Depends: campcaster-station but it is not going to be installed
    Depends: libxml++2.6c2a (>=2.8.1) but it is not installable

    Did you encounter this problem. Is it an easy thing to fix? I'm brand new
    to Linux and trying to teach myself as I go along.

    Ahh I read to fast, no I've installed on a 8.04 Ubuntu version, and it works
    fine, a ubuntu 8.10 is too young to do a radio I tink.

    A friend had try, i'ill ask he, and tell you when he answer ...
