I went to the link describing vhosts on Apache and it seemed to be more
than I needed. I read the other Apache docs at the site and felt that
changing the ports in ports.conf to include both 80 and something else
would work. It did work, thanks for the lead.
I found Listen 80 in the ports.conf file and added Listen 8245. I did
not change anything else in Apache. I forwarded 8245 to my local
machine in the router and went to the local coffee shop which has
wireless internet.
Using wireless internet at coffee, I uploaded audio, scheduled it and
went home to find it playing! I am not sure everything is working over
the web interface, but let me read more first and I will get back to the
list.
Thanks for making packages available for this software, compiling C
source had not worked for me due to my limited programming skills.
I read your posts and we have the same problem of accessing Campcaster outside our LAN.
This is our last step to start Radio Gwendalyn, a web radio based in Como (for Swiss Market).
In fact I will write a howto for web radio using CC as soon as this system works...
I see you resolved the problem in the Apache configuration file. Where do you find the ports.conf file? How exactly did you get the access to work?
