We have had complaints about slowness from others, too, but we have
not been able to reproduce this on our own computers yet. This is an
important issue, and we'll try to fix it as soon as possible.

I haven't seen this problem before; I will check it out.

This is problematic; if hundreds of search results are returned at
once, that will be really slow. (That is how we did it at first, and
then changed it to this 25-at-a-time with forward and back buttons, to
make it faster.) Ideally, we could fetch 25 at a time, but without
buttons, and when the user scrolls down beyond what we have found so
far, then fetch the next 25 etc. But this is relatively difficult to
do, so I can't promise when we will get around to it.

Yes, that is easy to do.

Hm... we do store the MD5 sum (a checksum) of the file, so I don't
know what happens if you change the contents of the file. And the
change in the length would be a problem, too. We'll record this as a
feature request, but I don't know what the best way of solving this
    would be, yet.

Yes, that bug is going to be fixed soon.

Not at all, this is exactly the kind of comments we need. Thank you
    for your help!
