RE: [campcaster-support] Dependency problemsinstalling on Ubuntu
  • I found that installing on Feisty there was a library that was missing
which I had to download the individual .deb package. I haven't got the
details to hand but I can find out which library it is and send over a
    link.

    problemsinstalling on Ubuntu

    Hi there,

I'm trying to install campcaster on a fresh ubuntu 7.04 system on a pc
but it stopped after an error warning. I followed all the steps in the
campcaster manual, neverthenless after I typed in

    sudo apt-get install campcaster-libs campcaster-station
    campcaster-studio

    the following came:

    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or
    been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    campcaster-station: Depends: campcaster-libs (= 1.13.24) but
    1.2.0-1feisty1 is
    to be installed
    E: Broken packages

As being a newbie in installing linux I would be very happy if anyone
    could help
    me with this.

    Greetings from Hamburg,
    Martin
