Dependency problems installing on Ubuntu
  • Hi folks,

I was hoping someone could possibly help with a problem I'm having with installing Campcaster.

I am trying to install Campcaster on Ubuntu Linux and I'm having a few problems with dependencies. I've done a fresh installation of Ubuntu Linux, added the Campcaster repository to the sources.list file and followed the instructions on the Ubuntu specific installation pages.

I first tried Ubuntu 6.06.1 which didn't seem to work (despite trying with both the original and multiverse/backports/security updates repositories enabled). I then tried Ubuntu 7.04 thinking maybe an updated version might have the required packages. Again this had dependency errors. Finally I've tried Ubuntu 6.10 and again it comes up with dependency errors.

What I can't understand is, I tried installing Campcaster on another PC about 2 months ago, I am pretty certain it was v1.2 I tried installing. The installation worked okay although I had problems due to only having one sound card in the machine.

When I run the command apt-get install campcaster-libs campcaster-station campcaster-studio and I get the following output....

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
