If automated playout is what you're looking to do, the Station package is
probably the most important; it has the web interface, the storage server,
the scheduler, the import script and the authorization system.
The user administration is handled in the web interface. Go to http://localhost/campcaster in your browser and then to Preferences ->
User/Groups.
We are in the process of updating our user documentation; it was written
with he 1.0 branch in mind. I'd generally recommend two other resources if
you're not familiar with them. Our developer documentation has a lot of
useful info for non-programmers as well. That's at:
Thanks. I just got a new M delta sound card and will install it today. right now, we just have the pc built-in card and i think it's not very good.
We have two computers now - one will be used in the studio booth. and the other will be in another room for storage. the studio unit's output is patched into one of the channels on our radio/audio board. so the computer comes up on one channel. we have a separate computer to handle encoding and that computer is being fed with an audio signal off of its own amp.
I have another question: I will only have 2 sound cards in the studio computer. Is it possible to run with my m delta sound card and the internal sound card? or must i have 3 sound cards - and or different kinds?
Anyway, here's what I wrote in the last two posts:
You can have as many sound cards as you like; however, the program has been designed to take advantage of three separate sound outputs - one for live mode output in Campcaster Studio, one for preview in Campcaster Studio, and one for scheduled output from either Studio or Web. When you have less than three cards, functions will have to be combined on the sound cards; with two, this would probably mean that you would lose the ability to preview files in Live Mode before playout.
If you're only using Campcaster for scheduled output, this is probably not going to be a problem. But if you decide it will be necessary, you can get an additional sound card - either USB or internal - relatively cheaply.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
I just checked the ALSA compatibility list for the M-Audio cards, and it looks like it should work. You can check your card's compatibility and driver at this address:
