To be able to play something, first you need to upload some audio files.
Does that work? After you have uploaded the audio files, they show up
in the Scratchpad; or you can search for them by title etc, and
double-click on an item to move it to the Scratchpad.
From the Scratchpad, you can either select the audio clip and press the
small play button in the window (to "cue" it), or double-click on it,
which moves it to the Live Mode window. Here you need to double-click
it again to move it to the Master Panel and finally hear it.
About the bug you found: please experiment with it some more, and tell
me what you find, because so far I have not been able to reproduce it.
Do all the other functions (upload, search, play) work, only edit
playlist crashes? Can you edit playlists from the web browser interface?
