Does this happen consistently with some files and not with others? Or
do you sometimes manage to upload a file that caused an error earlier?

Please file a bug report and include the file name and id3 tags of an
audio clip which causes this error. If you could upload the clip itself
somewhere and provide a URL for it, that would be great.

  • Sorry for the delay in replying, but I wanted to get enough test data to pin down the problem as far as is presently possible.

First, this happens consistently with some files, and not with others. It appears that the problem may be related to the ID3 tag. As I type this, I am uploading the test data I took, along with the sample files I used which illustrate the behaviour. As soon as they upload, these files will be in the /LiveSupport folder at:

    http://www.anemicaardvark.com

There are seven files. README.txt is obviously some verbage on test conditions, etc. network.png is a drawing of the computer interconnections. I don't know that it will be necessary, but one never knows.

Truth_Tablee.ODS is an open office spreadsheet showing the tests performed on each of the files, and the results. The files A.mp3, B.mp3, C.mp3, and D.mp3, are the individual audio files used for testing.

In a moment, when I post this, I'll try to open a ticket. I'll use the best description I can think of at the moment, but it isn't clear to me if the problem is really the ID3 tags, or what.
