    I already installed this package php4.pgsql !
    And It is still the same.
    Shall I change the php.ini file ?

    Seems something is misconfigured.
    Small explaination: the is php4 module for apache, and php-cli, which runs scripts on shell.
    Due to this, there are /etc/php4/apache(2)/php.ini, and /etc/php4/cli/php.ini. Booth must contain a line "extension=pgsql.so". Please check this.

    Maybee you can give me access to your machine, so I can take a look.

    I have no /etc/php4/cli directory !

    Conserning a root access :
