among the station preferences, there's a file upload size limit - maybe
that could be of help...

just for fun, I set the preferance to 8 and tried the 3.5mb file upload again and it failed with the same error.

I then changed the value to 8192 since the box did not denote what format the value had to be in mb or kb. Once again it failed with the same error as above.

i don't know about the MB or KB. but you can not set this to a *higher*
value than set in the php.ini script (if you are using the HTML interface
LS Station).

but there's a point in that there's no format described in the
documentation on how to enter the maximum size. for example:

8 - 8 what? bytes? gigabytes?
8k ?
8kb ?
8G ?

the documentation (and the UI) should be more specific...

as stated in mu previous email I have my PHP.INI setting at 40MB, I set the Reduce Upload Filesize to 8 and 8192 and then tried to upload a 3.5mb file. it failed under both settings, it also failed when I had Reduce Upload Filesize set to nothing.

true, i did not say it should be vague. i just don't know. sebastian? what
is it? i will add it in the menu.

*size* in the station preferences (KB, MB, GB?).

You need to do following:
1. edit the setting in php.ini
2. restart apache
3. re-login to htmlUI, because old setting was stored in session

The "Reduce upload filesize" setting is removed in 1.0.1 regarding the confusion it just makes.

I have rebuilt my server with the Livesupport CD and still get the same error.

here is what I changed in php.ini for apache.
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; File Uploads ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

; Whether to allow HTTP file uploads.
file_uploads = On

; Temporary directory for HTTP uploaded files (will use system default if not

yes much! I installed the CD distro and used the apt repository and upgraded to 1.0.1 and all is much better. Now if I can only get my sound card to play with LiveStream...
