[livesupport-dev] livesupport 1.0.1 now official
  • I've created a tag for livesupport 1.0.1 in the subversion repository:

    http://code.campware.org/projects/livesupport/browser/tags/livesupport-1.0.1/

and also made an announcement for 1.0.1 on freshmeat...

see the sourceforge download area for the tarballs:

  • Hi,

Congratulations on the 1.0.1 release. I'm eager to try it out.

Dumb question: Are Debian packages underway, or are we reworking the whole
thing, as per the discussions that have been going on with Michael
Schultheiss and Ben Racher, among others?

as the ls demo system has been upgraded to php5, it's unwise to build
packages there. also see my previous e-mail on nailing down the
    packiging issue for good.

I'm always on a bit of an awkward situation, as I don't even have a
debian box (and I'm openly anti-debian in the first place), but usually
I have to make these packages. it would be much more fortunate to have a
debian package maintainer, who loves debian and has appropriate debian
    boxes Smile

i agree, why burden developers with making binaries for a system they
don't have, let alone don't like. The debian folks that have been paying
attention to LiveSupport are going to try to make some compliant deb
packages, but at the pace we move... it might be a little bit.

  • Packages underway. My Athlon 1200 is doing hard job.
  • Debian packages for LiveSupport 1.0.1 can now be found on

    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=136949&package_id=1504
    74&release_id=360609

    Happy dpkg-ing!
    apt-get source will follow.
  • I like to announce the unofficial apt-get-source for livesuport 1.0.1 debian
    packages.

You need to add following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
    deb http://netfinity-2.campware.org/debian/ unstable main

Than an "apt-get update" would be necessary.

You can install/update the whole appliaction (including GUI and html-GUI) by
    "apt-get install livesupport-studio"

    Or for those which don
