I've been doing a fair amount of traveling in the last couple of weeks,
meeting with potential testing partners among radio stations in both South
Africa and Russia.
In South Africa, it looks like we're going to go ahead with a pilot
install in coordination with the National Community Radio Forum in
Mbapalanga Province, which is north of Johannesburg. The NCRF represents
80 community radio stations across South Africa.
In Russia, the FNR Radio Network has agreed to do Russian localization,
and will begin testing so that they can recommend it to their member
stations. FNR is also really interesting because they've developed a
program exchange system that could provide us with some good guidelines
for the functionality required in LS Network.
In all instances, I've been handing out copies of the fabled LiveCD. I'll
start the upload to SourceForge when I get into the office tomorrow
morning.
Feedback is _really_ positive. The big questions that have come up again
and again are on podcasting support and a streaming howto. And Windows and
Mac ports of LS Studio...
Things are looking good!
