[livesupport-dev] Re: mailing lists
  • Hi Ferenc,

    there are two different things:

    http://code.campware.org/phorum/list.php?12

is phorum, web-based discussion (read-only for everybody), which is
    cross-linked with livesupport-dev mailing-list. Archives of that
    mailing-list are on

    http://sympa.mdlf.org/wws/arc/livesupport-dev

These archives are on our old mailing-list system (sympa), which will be
switched off soon (i hope so), and all our mailing-lists will be moved to
mailman. I recommend to direct non-developers to phorum web-page. Only
developers can post to that mailing-list, so that's why nobody can
subscribe to web-based phorum. Paul, correct me if i don't understand it
    correctly...

    Best,
    Michal

What's up with the mailing lists? It's getting really confusing. There is
    http://code.campware.org/phorum/list.php?12
    and
    http://sympa.mdlf.org/wws/arc/livesupport-dev
Are they two interfaces to the same thing? Are they different? Which
one should we link to in the developer docs?

I assume non-developers should be directed to
    http://code.campware.org/phorum/list.php?20
but I haven't been able to subscribe to this list, or even log in to it
    at the web site. Heeeelp!!!!

  • livesupport-dev and livesupport-support are open for everybody who want to
contribute. And for spammers, so as I remember, it was neccessary to
    register before the update.

livesupport-core was private list all the time.

  • This is a test.
  • OK, I'm starting to understand. But where is this livesupport-support
list? I can't see it on
    http://sympa.mdlf.org/wws/lists
People keep posting to it, which shows up on the LS Support phorum page,
but typically nobody answers. This is really bad.

Is there any way to subscribe to livesupport-support, or is it web only?
I would be much more likely to see and reply to posts if I could get
it in my mailbox, instead of having to check on the web.

  • livesupport-support mailing-list was already transferred to mailman system.
So you can find it here:
    http://lists.campware.org/mailman/listinfo/ls-support

Thanks for information. There was some problem with user-subscription, it
should be fixed now, so you should get emails from people to your inbox
    from now...
