    Hi all,

    Following on Akos' news that he may have been able to finally fix the
    problem with SMIL files (bug 1229), I've made new Debian package builds
    and tarballs. While they're tentatively called 1.0rc3, these are
    experimental builds and are only for testing.

    They're available at http://62.44.9.210/~douglas/debian

    I would like to encourage all of you to test these packages, as I
    sincerely hope these are the last of the release candidate builds before
    an official 1.0 release.
