Hi all,
Here's a quick update about the Debian package builds and where we are
with them.
As far as I can tell, the Debian package builds are one of the last tasks
before an official release of LiveSupport 1.0; unfortunately, the changes
in the 'autoconf-ization' of the code have led to a few problems.
While I was able to generate packages yesterday without errors in the
build process, there are still a few problems with the packages'
configuration. Once we get those worked out (expected later today), we
will put the packages up on the SourceForge downloads page.
You may notice on the SourceForge page there are already 1.0 debian
packages; while you're certainly free to try them, I think they were put
up too hastily. We'll put up additional ones as soon as they're ready. I
expect they will be ready sometime today, but check back here for the
confirmation.
