[livesupport-dev] error compiling LS

    me again,

    finally downloaded the ls tarball livesupport-1.0rc1.tar.bz2 - thinking that this should work on the knoppix install with a working librarie debian package installed.

    ./configure works fine
    when running
    make setup
    i get the error:

    ./tools/boost/boost-1.31/bin/install.sh
    command not found

    tools folder does not exist in the livesupport-1.0rc1 folder.

    i will now try to download the entire libraries tarball as well, but unpacking the livesupport tarball will not create the tools folder.

    what shall i do?

    You are doing fine: download the livesupport-libraries tarball, unpack
    it to the same place as the livesupport tarball (this will create that
    missing tools directory) and follow from the Compiling LiveSupport
    section of http://livesupport.campware.org/public_html/doc/install.html.

    Unfortunately, I don't think you can avoid recompiling the tools. Have
    patience and go for another round of swimming and/or Armenian cognac in
    the meantime. Smile
