trying to install the 1.0rc1 debian packages on my personal (sarge)
system, livesupport-station results in:
...
Starting livesupport scheduler: using config file
'/opt/livesupport/etc/scheduler.xml'
livesupport-scheduler.

livesupport-scheduler.
GStreamer-ERROR **: No default scheduler name - do you have a registry ?
aborting...
GStreamer-ERROR **: No default scheduler name - do you have a registry ?
aborting...
similar appears when trying (and failing) to start the gui (studio),:
$ /opt/livesupport/bin/gLiveSupport.sh
using configuration file: /opt/livesupport/etc/gLiveSupport.xml
using config file '/opt/livesupport/etc/gLiveSupport.xml'
GStreamer-ERROR **: No default scheduler name - do you have a registry ?
aborting...
/opt/livesupport/bin/gLiveSupport.sh: line 57: 12889 Aborted
$gLiveSupport_exe -c $config_file
any clues?

thanks for pointing this out - a grave mistake indeed.
I guess I'll re-relase 1.0rc1 today, with a fix to this issue. as it
won't work for anyone who tries to install the binaries only (or deletes
the original compile location after installing from sources...)
sumimasen...

ok, I've just uploaded new .tar.bz2's and .deb's to the sourceforge
site, that work fine on the demo server.
could you try with them?
also, there's an issue with building the debian package: during the
build / install process, things are not actually installed into (a
faked) /opt/livesupport, and this results in some problems. see: http://bugs.campware.org/view.php?id=1237
do you have any input on this?

can you try to isntall LS from source, and see if it's any different there?
if so, can you post a bug report about this in the mantis?
thanks,
