[livesupport-dev] LS install problem
  • How to install cvs version then?

    ./bin/install.sh -d /usr/local/livesupport -g apache -r /var/www/localhost/htdocs
    Installing LiveSupport.

    Using the following installation parameters:

    installation directory: /usr/local/livesupport
    host name: tux.trebnet.com
    web server port: 80
    scheduler port: 3344
    database server: localhost
    database: LiveSupport
    database user: livesupport
    database user password: livesupport
    apache daemon group: apache
    apache document root: /var/www/localhost/htdocs

ERROR: this script is not intended to be run from the CVS sources.
run this script from inside the source tarball

  • Maybe i am talking to fast but two things,

it's copyInstall.sh,, but please you have to check it,,

,,and other wise there will be some updates for the past day's so you
can run it from you cvs setup, from products/scheduler with make start
and from products/gLiveSupport with make run,,,

  • right now I'm doing manually what bin/install.sh would be doing.
    bin/postInstallScheduler.sh doesn't get $installdir right at all - maybe
    little typo bug?

    I'm doing:

    ./bin/postInstallScheduler.sh --directory /usr/local/livesupport
--database LiveSupport --apache-group apache --host tux.trebnet.com
    --port 80 --scheduler-port 3344 --dbserver localhost --dbuser
    livesupport --dbpassword livesupport --www-root /var/www/localhost/htdocs

but still it tries to run scheduler.sh from ./bin/scheduler.sh not from
    /usr/local/livesupport/bin/scheduler.sh
