[livesupport-dev] mass import script

    Hi,

due to problems with placing the import script to the final installed
structure, this script have been moved to newly created special module
    'storageAdmin'.
It will be useful for other admin scripts too in the future.

Location of the import script in the development environment:
    modules/storageAdmin/bin/import.sh

Location of the import script in the final installed environment:
    usr/storageAdmin/bin/import.sh

LiveSupport install scripts have been updated to handle storageAdmin
    module.

  • Doug,

It's into storageAdmin/bin/php but just run bin/import.sh from
    storageAdmin.

It may be specific for debian package.
I don't know much about debian package creation - there is possible that
some package creation script have to be altered.
    (/bin/createDebianPackages.sh seems to be OK)

Is there /usr/storageAdmin dir in your installation?
    Is there /usr/storageAdmin/bin and /usr/storageAdmin/bin/php?

there should be (in final installed structure):
    /usr/storageAdmin/bin/import.sh - a wrapper.
    /usr/storageAdmin/bin/php/import.php - one-file import script.

  • Hello Douglas,

I worked with a traffic system called DARTS for 7 years.
Currently it is owned by http://www.wicksbroadcastsolutions.com/. I
believe it use to be the standard. The purpose of a traffic
system is to schedule, bill and track the times of commercials. The
stations I worked for all used a separate traffic system to generate the
log that was sent to the automation system to schedule playback.
It would be cool to have an automation system that had traffic and
    billing built into it.

I would be happy to help test any such functionality you decide to
include in LS or any other software you suggest to handle billing and
    traffic.

    Thanks!

    Dan

    Hi,

due to problems with placing the import script to the final installed
structure, this script have been moved to newly created special module
    'storageAdmin'.
It will be useful for other admin scripts too in the future.

Location of the import script in the development environment:
    modules/storageAdmin/bin/import.sh

Location of the import script in the final installed environment:
    usr/storageAdmin/bin/import.sh

LiveSupport install scripts have been updated to handle storageAdmin
    module.
